The contracts will be initially for 6-12 months (and then very much ongoing and long-term thereafter with Competitive hourly rates. These roles do require candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years Buyer / Procurement experience.
Candidates will need to be eligible for SC Security Clearance.
What are the department looking for……..
The department are looking for candidates from various backgrounds including; a general Buyer background, candidates with and Indirect Procurement background, and there is also a role for a IM Buyer (IT Buyer).
Candidates with strong Buyer/Procurement experience are welcome to apply - if you have a background of the defence or aerospace industry that would be great but not a pre-requisite.
Ideally you will be MCIPS or CIPS qualified and have contract writing and/or strong and broad Terms and Conditions experience.
The roles will be providing support to the Category Managers / Procurement Managers and will provide you with a great chance to use your skills to develop supplier relationships that generate value for both the company and the suppliers.
Some of the Buyer roles may require you to conduct regular supplier risk assessments, ensure NDA's are completed and supplier T&Cs are thoroughly reviewed, highlighting any risks or considerations the business may wish to challenge.
One of the Buyer positions would be ideal for a candidate that has experience in dealing with Recruitment Agencies as the role will involve working alongside the Managed Service Provider (MSP) who are responsible for the provision and management of Contingent Workers (CW) as well as various projects and functions in the business, to support and promote offload.
The IM / IT Buyer role is looking for a candidate who will provide support to the Group Category Manager, Enterprise Software and Information Systems Services. For this role experience in IM Procurement is essential, preferable with major enterprise software editors (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, SAP) and the provision of IS services.
