I am partnering with a fast growing on-line retailer based in the West Yorkshire area. The role of the Bathroom Buyer is to facilitate the on-going growth within the organisation within the business.
There’s lots to get your teeth in to in this role as you will need to understand and develop the strategy for each individual channel or route to market. Previous experience of direct sourcing via both overseas and UK suppliers is essential. You’ll be expected to plan and organise stock ranges, preparing sales and stock plans, whilst managing the overall inventory position. You’ll own your own category therefore you’ll need to understand and develop a full range of products that’ll set us out from the crowd, making accurate projections for both sales and stock holding along with a cash outlay and return. Additionally, you will source new products and categories as needed, staying abreast of market trends by working cross functionally with our marketing and site traders.
My client would is looking for candidates with previous experience of working as a Buyer, Junior Buyer or Product Manager within the bathroom industry . Knowledge and contacts within the bathroom supply and manufacturing arena would beneficial but not essential. We’d also love to hear from you if you have previous experience of managing people within a commercial buying environment. As you’d expect experience of working with suppliers and distributes is key, as well as that ability to set the strategic direction for the bathroom category you are working within. Commercial awareness is paramount as well as enthusiasm, the willingness to learn, and the drive to succeed!
