Buyer Band 4 - West Suffolk Hospital

The Purchasing Department has a part time, 22.5 hours per week, Buyer position, for an individual interested in joining a busy team.

As part of the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust’s purchasing team you will be the first point of contact for information on a wide range of services and products, and then responsible for the sourcing and placing of orders on behalf of the Trust.

Your duties will include:

  • To negotiate contracts, place and monitor orders for goods and service on behalf of the Trust, in a efficient and effective manner.

  • Sourcing goods to populate the Trust specific catalogue

  • Sourcing non-stock requirements in accordance with Trust SFI’s

  • place orders on the Trust hardware/software Systems

  • expediting orders

  • statistical information

  • general administration duties

    You will:

  • be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent

  • Purchasing qualification or experience

  • excellent computer literature

  • excellent customer service skills

  • excellent communication skills

    Full training will be provided.
