Business Unit Director - On Trade (Premium Spirits)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing premium spirits businesses. As experts in brand development they have brought to market a number of the UK’s best known alcohol brands. As a company they are highly entrepreneurial and have excellent relationships in place with the country’s top On-Trade retailers and Route to Market partners. Their portfolio has expanded significantly to include a number of award winning gins, rums, whiskeys and speciality liqueurs. The business is now looking to recruit a talented Business Unit Director to lead their team in the national On-Trade.
As Business Unit Director you will be responsible for developing an effective On-Trade strategy that optimise growth potential and brand visibility. You will report directly to the Managing Director and have a direct team of 4 people including 2 National Account Managers and 2 Field Sales Managers. There will also be a dotted line into the regional field sales team. You will work cross functionally with other internal departments including marketing to ensure sales strategy is aligned and that return on investment is maximised.
To be considered for this position it is important that you are currently operating at Controller or Director level within the On-Trade. Those who have experience in the spirits industry may be at an advantage but individuals from other drinks industry backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. This role requires a confident and highly commercial operator who has the ability to adapt within an ever evolving business. You will also be an inspirational leader able to motivate a high performing team within the national On-Trade.
