Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading Top 10 Firm of accountants who are looking to recruit a supervisor for their accounting & financial reporting team in their Chester office.
As part of a team responsible for providing accounting, financial and compliance expertise to a wide range of clients you would play an important role, both through managing your own portfolio of clients as well as supervising the more junior members of the team.
Work would include preparing annual financial statements, management accounts and VAT returns. Previous experience working within a practice is essential along with a strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards, excellent client-facing skills. Some supervisory experience would also be an advantage as you will enjoy assisting and developing the junior members of the team.

The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package
Managing & supervising the work of more junior staff
Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues
Involved in some practice development work for the firm and you would be fully supported in these activities
ACA / ACCA Qualified
Strong Accounts preparation experience is essential
Strong Financial Reporting Standards knowledge
