MHM Task Team - Business Manager
We are establishing a new Task Team within MHM to support our rapid growth over the next 5 years. The Team will be dedicated to the mobilisation and transition of new contracts across the UK as well as targeting poorly performing contracts with a view to quick turnaround in business improvement. The Team will operate across the UK therefore travel and flexibility in working patterns is a necessity.
Mears Housing Management is a successful business within Mears Group PLC having grown in 5 years to a nationally based management business with 12,000 homes and contracts with 50 Local Authorities and Central Government. We house many people in housing need who would otherwise be living in costly and inappropriate accommodation and as such we have a strong social pursue in everything we do. With ambitious plans to continue this rapid growth The Task Team will be vital in delivering our promises to customers and meeting our commercial targets.
Do you have the drive and determination to take responsibility to deliver complex mobilisation and transition of service contracts and business improvement projects? Combined with your excellent commercial, influencing and negotiating skills your proven ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams is essential.
Your innovative and energetic approach to the delivery of projects and to meet customer expectation and budgetary targets will also be key to the success of our business.
You will demonstrate a results orientated and commercially astute approach in order to deliver a comprehensive service delivery model to include business plans focusing on;
- Service Design
- Management plans
- IT systems to drive efficiencies
- External and Internal Communications plans
- Establishing new offices
- People Recruitment

We are looking for people with an extensive background of change management who can identify areas for business improvement promote and share best practise and lead on reviewing performance against the customer charter through the production of KPIs, quality checks and audits and feedback findings to the Operation Leads. This is a national service and will require travel.
