Business Intelligence Analyst

The successful candidate will be a strong analytical thinker, be able to deal with large amounts of Data, familiar with Cluster analysis, financial modeling, regression, pivot tables, PowerBI and be able to bring high level of skills expertise to the business. The aim of this role is to have an expert in BI systems, who will be a member of the Business Intelligence team

P3 Search and Selection (Technology) is pleased to offer this fantastic role on behalf of our client, who are currently seeking to recruit a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst who will be based in Berkshire UK on a Permanent basis.

Candidates should have the following skills:

Essential Expertise:

-Previous role or responsibilities in reporting and analysis
-Strong understanding of systems, how data is structured, how to access it and how to resolve issues
-Track record of delivering in a challenging, dynamic, changing environment
-Highly organised
-Ability to communicate with and influence a wide variety of stakeholders
-Ability to work to tight deadlines
-Strong internal customer focus
-Positive, "can do" mindset and a Collaborative, team player

Technical Expertise:

-Manipulation of large datasets
-Use of ERP systems
-Use of Business Intelligence systems, particularly PowerBI
-Use of predictive / statistical modelling

Desirable Expertise:

-Familiarity or better with accounting principles (e.g., interpretation of profit & loss account and balance sheet)
-Degree in a quantitative, business or financial subject
-Qualified or part qualified in a recognised Accounting qualification


-Support the internal periodic reporting for the organisation
-Focus on providing accurate, relevant and timely KPI reporting to the business and other members of the finance team
-Development of new regular, automated reports to meet changing business needs
-Provision of end-to-end KPI tracking and analysis to support decision-making
-Involvement in key business projects, and provision of adhoc analysis as required

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

-Perform regular periodic analysis in accordance with the business and financial timetable
-Regular contact with colleagues across the business to ensure reporting is delivering relevant information
-Running critical controls and checks to ensure data consistency and integrity
-Adding value to decision making, pro-actively providing analytical support to ensure that users are empowered to easily interpret key information
-Constantly improve the reporting landscape, eliminating waste and proposing new reports and analysis
-Provide adhoc analysis, reporting and assistance to financial and senior managers

Location: Berkshire - commutable from Slough, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Reading, M3 Corridor, M4 Corridor, Surrey and Buckinghamshire

Salary: Circa £50k per annum plus excellent benefits
