Business Improvement Lead

Excellent opportunity for a hands on individual to join a successful organisation, a leader in the utilities field.

You will be the type of individual who flourishes in a people management role, looking after and getting the best out of a small team. You will also enjoy the commercial aspects, driving cost savings and taking control of a project. Motivating the team and driving efficiency is key.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for a team of 3, facilitate the creation and subsequent delivery of the annual contract improvement plan.
- Work with the business to prioritise and obtain buy in from the leadership team
- Create and maintain a consistent approach to project planning, cost/benefit analysis, and project delivery
- Carry out reviews of all projects delivered and facilitate lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a log of initiatives delivered and follow up/report on benefits achieved.
- Maintain controls that the business case is delivered to spec, for example, if improvement is FTE saving, demonstrate that FTE has reduced.
- Ensure any new process or amendments are accurately documented and stored
- Constantly challenge the way we work, and make recommendations for improvements
- Assign team members to projects, considering skills and geography
- Create internal Performance Improvement Teams (PITs) for projects to ensure success once BI team have exited.
- Make recommendations for parent company support and/or external consultants for improvements where business case stacks up
- Develop business strategy for maximising opportunity through innovation.

*Strong manager, with the ability to influence at all levels

*Excellent analytical skills
*Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Specific experience required for this role
*Able to demonstrate initiating and delivering change in large organisations
*Experience in the industry would be an advantage but not essential
*Experience of working on a joint venture would be an advantage but not essential
*A strong commercial understanding is essential
*Experience of Salesforce would be an advantage but not essential
