Prospero teaching are working with an Ofsted 'GOOD' Secondary School in Barnet who would like to secure 5 Graduate teaching assistants to join in September 2018 start, fast track to interview - No filling out endless application forms!

We are currently seeking individuals interested in supporting students with Special Needs predominately with learning difficulties, Autism and Dyslexia. The is a great opportunity for a recent Business studies / Economics Graduate to join a really vibrant and friendly secondary school.

The ideal Business studies / Economics Graduate will be willing to learn, proactive, innovative, enthusiastic and passionate. The school is keen to secure a Business studies / Economics Graduate to interview immediately and the role will start in September 2018 and will be for the full academic year. September 2018 - July 2019.

The role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, running interventions, 1:1 support and group sessions. You will be given full training and support by the rest of the department, it is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow, an ideal role if you wish to become a teacher in the future. You will be supporting across all key stages, key stages 3, 4 and 5.

The Special Needs Coordinator is interested in hiring hard-working, proactive and dedicated graduates and will train successful candidates to ensure they are learning, growing and developing and adding value to the team ad more importantly the students. You will be given the chance to understand how teachers engage with students with a range of needs including learning difficulties, students who speak English as an additional language, students with Autism, Behaviour Needs and associated needs.

This role is ideal for someone who wishes to become a teacher, will really pave the way to applying for a Schools Direct or Teach First Teacher Training role.

The School do not have issues with their recruitment and do not find that they have a high staff turnover. However, as they have worked with Prospero teaching for a number of years, they have entrusted this vacancy with us to ensure they appoint the most suitable Business studies / Economics Graduate available to continue the amazing teaching delivered to Key Stage 3, key stage 4 and 5.

The role also offers the option of being permanent or on a contractual basis depending on the successful Graduate's needs. Behaviour at the school is good due to a strong, well enforced behaviour management policy being in place, students are aware of what is expected of them and behaviour is followed up effectively by Senior Leaders and staff are supported.

The school does provide education for students of all abilities therefore creating differentiated and interesting attention grabbing lessons is a very important trait and will act as a useful method to ensure behaviour stays good.
