We WANT a target driven individual with a head for management, to join our Business Development Team based at our Head Office in Bridgend.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate a clear passion for development of process and procedures, combined with a great business acumen and the right people skills to managing a busy sales team.

You will be responsible for supporting the team achieve its monthly sales targets through a range of sales management functions, such as KPIs and performance management and assisting the Sales Director identify and develop successful sales strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a natural motivator, be an authoritative communicator, and have an unwavering passion for achieving targets - be that individual or within a team. A real self-starter, you will be expected to hit the ground running, being able to make a significant and positive impact to the sales pipeline and to the team. Whilst we do not expect a strong technical background, as one of the key purposes of the role is to attend high profile business consultations, you will need to be able to communicate articulately at all levels and be seen as an expert within this field.

To join our Sales Department, you must have proven credibility in a sales and target driven environment, and have over 5 years’ experience in a sales management role. Full training of all the RockIT products and services will be provided.

For this role we do require a certain level of relevant experience, RockIT also value continued learning and we can support this in a number of ways. We will teach you about our industry leading products and solutions and will give you further opportunities for additional training, such as management training throughout your career with us.

  • Direct management of all Business Development staff

  • Carrying out a variety of operational tasks to ensure smooth running of the team and all its functions

  • Planning staffing levels

  • Assisting Areas Sales by attending various meetings when the need arises

  • Working with Talent Manager to interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees

  • Closely managing staff KPIs and performance management of under-performing staff

  • Carrying out team meetings such as monthly 121s, engagement meetings, etc.

  • Leading employees to meet the company’s expectations for productivity, quality, and target accomplishment

  • Providing oversight and direction to the employees in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures

  • Training, mentoring, and developing staff through the RockIT Academy, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities

  • Providing call coaching and ensuring that Business Development staff are following the necessary scripts and company guidelines

  • Creating a culture that is consistent with the overall company’s culture, and one that emphasises the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization

  • Assisting the Sales Director in business development tasks

  • Assisting the Sales Director in developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets

  • Developing relationships with clients and prospects

  • Assisting in large Business Development deals

  • Assisting the Sales Director in departmental budgeting

  • Departmental and cross-team communication

  • Providing effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary

  • Handling client complaints or enquiries

  • Recording statistics and the performance levels of the team and preparing reports for the Sales Director

  • Arranging social events and generally motivating the team in any way possible
