Business Development & Marketing Assistant Role

JSM Recruitment are proud to represent our Multi-award winning client in their quest to find an outstanding Marketing and Business Development function within the business. The individual will directly support our Head of Marketing and National Account Manager. Experience within an office environment and a financial services or mortgage company whilst not essential, would be advantageous, in addition to experience in a marketing support role.

The Business:

One of the UK’s leading specialist distributor of specialist mortgage solutions to the financial intermediary market. Intermediaries engage our client to help them seek mortgage solutions for clients where mainstream solutions are not available: this can include residential mortgages, second charge mortgages, buy to let, short term lending, commercial finance, development finance and unsecured finance. Our client places this business with specialist lenders on behalf of the introducer.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development & Marketing Assistant Role :

  • Support our Head of Marketing in the execution of the Company Marketing Plan
  • Assisting the National Account Manager by liaising between the sales team and introducers
  • Managing a busy inbox and liaising with introducers and key account partners
  • Complete Mi tracking and business case level monitoring, producing regular reports
  • Booking appointments and managing the diary of the colleagues
  • Proactive outbound dialling to key introducers for both new and existing business
  • Undertaking basic administrative duties across the business
  • Management of the company social mediaplatforms
  • Support our attendance at our key account partners events
  • Working in line with four FCA regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the Data Protection Act, Data Security and Anti Money Laundering procedures

Skills / experience required of the Business Development & Marketing Assistant Role

  • Motivated and focused self-starter who has the ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Detail oriented with commercial awareness of business requirements
  • A strong grasp of written English and excellent proof-reading skills
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of social media platforms and diary management
  • The motivation to go above-and-beyond for our customers
  • Able to provide excellent customer service
  • The computer and numeracy skills needed to excel in a highly regulated environment
  • A flexible approach to work, and the ability to work well as part of a dynamic team
  • Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and progress

Remuneration:

  • £16,800 to £18,800 depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holiday
  • 6 month induction and probation (bonus scheme available on completion of probation)
