Our Client

Our client was founded in 2016 by two Oxford university graduates. They launched their Fintech platform with the clear goal of disrupting the traditional way Insurance companies approach offering premiums to organisations. Their SaaS based open source social data platform adds incredible value to these Insurance companies and is allowing our client to work with some of the biggest insurance brands in the UK. They have won numerous awards in their first 3 years, are pre-series A funding and are looking to scale the growth of their business in the UK and internationally including the US in the next year. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a truly exciting brand at a very early stage of their growth.

What You'll Get

You will be joining a relatively new and small sales team, where you will receive plenty of training and support in a positive and friendly environment. As a Business Development Manager, you can expect to receive a basic salary of £35 - 40k basic salary plus an OTE of £60 - 65k first year which is uncapped, as part of the benefits package you will also receive equity. The commission structure is very lucrative, and it is expected that you will far exceed your OTE.

What You'll Do

With a clearly identified prospect which encompasses all the Enterprise size Insurance brands in the UK, you will be solely responsible for winning new business from this prospect list. You will manage the whole sales process which often can take at least 6 months with average order values for proof of concept being around the £50k mark. As a Business Development Manager in this business you will be expected to be able to think strategically and creatively when it comes to developing and winning new clients.

What You'll Need

Our client is open to the academic profile of this candidate, what is most important to them is that they will have 3 plus years B2B new business sales experience where they manage the whole sales process. You need to be smart, super hungry and want to be part of a fast growth start-up. You don’t have to come from an Enterprise led sales background, but you will most certainly now want to be in an Enterprise sales role.
