Vacancy - Area Sales Executive/Business Development

Industry - Electrical Wholesale

Location - Chelmsford, Essex

Salary - negotiable + excellent bonuses + company car

Our client is a a very successful electrical wholesale business. They are recruiting for a Sales Executive, to cover Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

The purpose of the role is to develop the customer base in the area by opening new accounts and growing profitable business in line with the commercial objectives of the branch and in a manner which exceeds the expectations of customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

To exceed sales and billing margin targets in order to make profit
To open new accounts and develop these so that the branch broadens the customer base

To manage existing accounts to increase spend

To contact dormant accounts to reactivate their account
To keep aware of trends and opportunities in the marketplace - including the activities of competitors
To actively introduce and promote new products to both existing and prospective customers
To promote products and brands that meet the Company’s commercial objectives.
To manage their territory and portfolio of customers in an efficient manner


Previous B2B Sales and Business Development experience
Must be able to demonstrate success in a sales role - and be proactive in their role
Experience of working to KPIs, in a Sales and Margin driven organisation

Proactive - ability to drive business forward and hunt out new business
Disciplined, with a structured business plan
Sales driven

Ability to quickly prioritise tasks
