Our client, a leader in their sector and Investor in People, is looking to expand their team based in Tavistock. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to aid their clients in all business development and route-to-market activities.

Many of their clients are blue chip companies from within UK and abroad, and their target audience includes director level and senior level management within a range of companies from medium to top performing Plc’s.

The ability to speak confidently and credibly with people at senior levels is a must, sound business acumen and confidence in doing online research would be a distinct advantage as would previous telephone based account management and/or business development experience, however having the right attitude and aptitude is what counts most.

You will not only need a natural flair for sales, but also for research, strategy and an ability to think outside the box. This is by no means 'just’ a sales role and requires a 360 degree approach to new business development, from strategy to market research, customer profiling, through to actively identifying and influencing the end customer.

This is an extremely interesting and varied role where you will need the ability to learn product knowledge quickly, including technical, and build strong relationships with your clients. You will be responsible for monitoring your own performance and setting your own targets with your Team Leader.
