Does the prospect of being the first employee of a newly created company appeal to you?
Do you have what it takes to build a business thousands of miles from your colleagues in the parent company?
Will your solution sales experience lead you to closing deals with senior decision makers.
Our client provides a browser-based solution to the management of property and key asset information to organisations with a need to manage development planning and maintenance programmes.
Established almost 30 years ago and now part of a wider group, this company has a market leading position in Australia and New Zealand. In the UK, there is already a handful of customers, won by reputation and referral.
To build on this success we now seek a Business Development Manager to join the newly established UK subsidiary as the first UK employee. The company is well equipped with CRM, e-marketing and other marketing tools to support your sales activity and you will be expected to attend and support exhibitions and conferences several times per year.
You should have proven sales capability in a solution selling role. Useful sector experience may have been gained in property, asset management or perhaps the independent schools sector.
You must have the personal stature to establish and maintain credibility at senior levels with both technical and non- technical managers.
You must be willing and able to travel widely in the UK and Ireland and manage your travel/work schedule effectively. A home location to allow easy travel would be ideal.
This is not entirely a start-up operation in the sense that there are existing customers to use as referrals and an opportunities pipeline on which you will be expected to build. But you will be alone in the UK, with remote support and assistance, albeit many time zones away!
Remuneration will consist of base salary, commission, car allowance and home office expenses
