Job Title: Business Development Manager
Salary: £32,0000 - £40,000pa
Working with a manufacturer and distributor of specialist products used to build bathrooms and washrooms e.g. linear drains, wet room shower trays, concealed cisterns, support frames for WCs etc. The company has been trading for 16 years, they have just embarked on a joint venture with a German company, in order to increase their product range and sales opportunities within the UK.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the primary role of the BDM is to prospect for new accounts, to manage and grow existing accounts and to provide technical knowledge and support for the products and services. Covering clients across retail, merchants and key accounts, as well as driving sales across the territory, increasing sales turnover, volume unit sales and market share. Diverse customer types can result in meetings in designer led showrooms, on building sites with property developers, trade counters / builders’ merchants, or bathroom retailers, amongst others.
Looking for someone with a proven track record in sales, ideally from the KBB or Heating & Plumbing sector, although other relevant market experience will be considered. A hands-on, solution based approach is required, you must be able to demonstrate good commercial skills as discounting and negotiation will be key. Organised and motivated, you must also have experience of sourcing and making your own appointments.
