The Company:

Nigel Wright are currently working with an established IT and Telecoms provider in the North East, with a nationwide customer base, who are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their sales team. Responsible for managing both new and existing customer relationships, the Business Development Manager will responsible for driving ongoing company growth by identifying and progressing new commercial opportunities.

The Role

  • Managing an existing customer base and identifying further commercial opportunities to grow existing accounts
  • Creating new opportunities and securing appointments with businesses on a local, regional and national basis
  • Delivering outstanding customer service at all times in order to develop effective working relationships with key decision makers
  • Running effective client meetings to provide a comprehensive presentation of the product portfolio and associated benefits

The Person

  • Experience in a B2B sales environment is essential
  • Experience of working towards and exceeding KPI's in a targeted environment
  • Experience within the IT/Telecoms and related industries would be beneficial
  • An effective relationship builder with strong communication skills
  • Must hold a UK driving licence as travel is required as part of the role
  • IT literate including the use of Microsoft packages
