Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Southern geographical area which will require daily business travel

Salary: Up to £60,000 plus a 25% bonus target, with an additional £6000 car allowance

About the role

We now have a great new opportunity for a Business Development Manager with a bank focused on the business banking market in the UK who specialise in lending delivering specialist lending and support to SME customers. The purpose of the position of Business Development Manager is to identify and develop business opportunities from high value business introducers. Business Development covers introducer liaison and management, panel management, trade shows and introducer events. You will also deliver to agreed business targets, including provision of a high level of service to all Broker accounts.

The successful candidate will seek out opportunities, continuously strive to improve and will be focused on delivering results.

Responsibilities and Experience required for the role of Business Development Manager

  • Contribute to the delivery of the Commercial Mortgages sales plan for your business area
  • Deliver agreed mortgage application, completion and associated activity targets through the provision of face to face relationship management support
  • Prepare, maintain and deliver an account management plan for each of the Brokers in your business area
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Promote the bank through the attendance at outside events and promotions
  • Ensure communication with intermediaries is delivered in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a Business Development/Account Management role
  • Experience of the specialist lending sector ideally within commercial lending
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
  • Able to communicate efficiently at all levels
  • Relationship Management and strong presentation skills
