Business Development Manager - Digital Agency, Kent

A growing and ambitious digital agency near Tonbridge are on the lookout for a proactive and ambitious Business Development Manager to join them as they grow. You’ll report into the MD and be responsible for generating sales leads for a range of cutting edge digital products.

The Business Development Manager’s job is to generate new leads, close the sale and hand over to the account and project teams to deliver them. Day to day responsibilities include…

  • Find creative ways to seek and nurture new leads, taking a hunter approach to new business.
  • Respond quickly and effectively qualify direct leads
  • Formulate and deliver written proposals, quotes and presentations based on client’s requirements.
  • Document and record sales activity
  • Manage your own schedule and follow up with clients via email, telephone and in person.
  • Work to sales targets and produce reports on activity and outcomes.
  • Attend sales, marketing and networking events.

Skills Required:

The Business Development Manager will have previous experience in sales in a B2b setting, ideally you will have sold digital services and products.

  • Experience in similar sales or a marketing role is important, where you have had responsibility for delivering revenue to the bottom line.
  • A solid interest and knowledge of the technologies and processes involving website design and development and /or mobile applications and /or web applications and /or search campaigns and / or VR/AR.
  • Understanding of how to generate and source new quality leads
  • The confidence in building strong relationships with excellent sales, negotiation and closing skills.
  • A Strong commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, particularly influencing and listening skills
  • Positive, results focussed, get things done attitude.
