Business Development Manager

My client is a market leader in consultancy services related to total reward and flexible employee benefit programs and are part of one of the World’s largest HR consultancies. A global business, their clients include some of the world's best-known brands across financial services, e-commerce and business services. This year will see them enter a phase of planned expansion and a new role, Business Development Manager has been created to work alongside the global field sales team to accelerate large and strategic new business opportunities.

The Business Development Manager will be involved in market and prospect research, coordinate presentations, proposal creation and assist the Bid Team with responses to formal tenders. You will create sales tools and templates to help increase the volume of opportunities and the speed with which they are handled.

Some outbound calling (around 20% of your time) will be required in the role and the Business Development Manager will build relationships and credibility through the use of effective questioning techniques and excellent product knowledge.

The successful Business Development Manager will be a graduate with experience of B2B business development using a range of tools including social platforms, web-based research and direct contact.

You will be a team-player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative and social environment. You will be confident, well presented, highly articulate and able to think creatively around how best to position a proposition. Exemplary communication skills and fluency in English, both verbally and written, are essential.

On offer is a basic salary of £30,000 plus £10,000 bonus, a comprehensive employee benefits package and lots of scope for career progression in a supportive, vibrant and growing business.
