It's an exciting time for Air Products and we are happy to present you a unique opportunity to be a part of the successful sales team! We are looking to appoint a talented Business Development Manager (Industrial Gases), who will be home based and will be responsible for the proactive and profitable sales of our Packaged Gases, CryoEase and Differentiated Equipment/Engineering solutions within a territory covering: Milton Keynes, Reading, Luton, North London, South Essex.

The Role

As the Business Development Manager, you will be supporting the region by making an active contribution to its profitable growth targets.

In this role, you will quickly develop a high level of product knowledge in the Industrial Gases and Liquid (CryoEase) ranges and support internal and external account managers as required.

Business growth is expected to come from new customer acquisition via self-generated prospecting, existing customer referrals and marketing campaigns, leveraging Air Products differentiated offerings and engineered solutions to sell added value and utilising our Applications Specialists and Commercial Technology teams as required. In addition, new business will be achieved through the development, support and coaching of the regional retail network (Sales Centres and Agents) working in conjunction with the Retail Development Manager.

What you will bring

You will be a high energy, self-motivated individual who has a demonstrable track record and prior experience of selling, using consultative and added value techniques.

You will present the evidence of strong new business winning versus targets involving direct contact with prospects and excellent pipeline management.

Also, we require the use of IT to enhance communication, business analysis and growth opportunities, which include but not limited to: Microsoft Office, CRM tools and P&L's calculators.

You will be an excellent communicator at all levels and team player, with strong negotiation skills, proactive approach and good organizational skills to prioritize and manage your workload efficiently.

An existing knowledge of our principle markets of metal fabrication, food and leisure would be an advantage.
