Purpose of the role

Reporting to the UK Group Sales Director the Business Development Managers role is responsible for profitably developing the company's service & maintenance contracts within Essex/Herts/Suffolk/London/ Kent/ Cambs.

Main Duties & Key Responsibilities

Primary Activities

* Working directly within the existing sales and marketing team
* One-day office and 4 days in the field
* Primarily develop sales of new service contracts
* Develop sales of security systems installations
* Conduct site surveys to assess customer needs
* Fully supported by an experienced appointment booking team
* Presentation of proposals to customers
* Account management
* Establish and maintain excellent customer relations
* Prepare and implement weekly and monthly sales forecast
* Achieve and Exceed set KPI targets for appointments, quotes and sales
* Liaise with the Sales & Marketing Co-Ordinator with marketing initiatives
* Maintain up-to-date sales forecast records via the company's CRM system

Secondary Activities

* Provide input to Company's lead generation activities and topics
* Liaising with Support and Operations staff as part of the smooth processing of customer requirements
* Understand and apply company procedures under Quality and H&S as part of the sales process and functions

Skills Knowledge and Experience

* Proven track record in sales
* Excellent account management skills
* IT skills on Microsoft Office systems

Desirable (but not mandatory):

* Experience of a security sector
* Experience of service and maintenance contracts
