Business Development Manager (Field Based)

3 Days Field Based - 2 days office based (Milton Keynes)

Upto £30,000 to £36,000 Salary + Bonus on Agreed KPI's - Fuel (Mileage Allowance) OTE £40k

Proactively develop sales opportunities and drive business to maximise available dates at venues; targeting functions, events and conferences.


  • To be aware of and to comply with company and legal requirements including health, safety and hygiene
  • To achieve KPI’s set out by Line Manager; to include sales appointments and revenue figures
  • To actively target business to increase and maximise available space at all venues
  • To work in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing plan
  • To strategically plan a sales focus in line with any key marketing activit
  • To work closely with Sales & Conference team to ensure sales opportunities and leads are followed up and show rounds are complete
  • To maintain a sales pipeline and update on a weekly basis
  • Assist in the development of the Sales & Marketing Plan
  • To complete and return quotes and RFP’s in a timely and professional manner
  • To liaise and develop relationships with agencies
  • Ideal Candidate:
Ideal Candidate
  • 5 years business development or sales experience within hotel and conferencing - preferably training and conference Centre’s (within last five years)
  • Current industry knowledge essential -conference and agent markets
  • To be able to manage their own workload, multi task and operate under pressure
  • To be self-motivated and have a passion for sales
  • To be proficient in MS software
  • To have a clean UK driving license and own car which will be required for the role
