Business Development Manager

Sentinel Global Advisers, corporate finance and investment advisor, is looking for an experienced business development manager to join London team and support the continued growth of business.

The role will cover sales and business development across multiple channels including both corporate finance and investment advisory mandates i.e. M&A, arrangement of debt and equity financing, fund investment advisory. In addition, the role will cover development of new jurisdictions like Uzbekistan and further work in Kazakhstan and broader CIS.

Key duties will include:

  • Liaising with senior staff to determine the range of products / services to be sold
  • Significantly contributing to the development of sales strategies and setting of sales targets
  • Carrying out survey and analysing client's reactions to products in order to taylor product offering
  • Following up leads to generate new business in both investment and corporate finance advisory
  • Generating new business across affiliated companies’ product offering
  • Developing new jurisdictions and establishing local partnerships
  • Handling client accounts
  • Producing reports and recommendations in relation to marketing for senior management
  • Developing sale strategies for new and existing products
  • Keeping up to date with competitors and their product offering

Key requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with 2.1 Honours (or equivalent) with a preference for a Masters qualification
  • Substantial work experience in cross-border business development
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships with corporates, financial institutions and sovereigns
  • Ability to conduct contract negotiations with respect to advisory mandates
  • Proven ability to act as a team member
  • Ability to pitch business both on the phone and in person
  • Existing extensive business network in CIS demonstrated through relationships
  • Previous experience in working in CIS jurisdictions and especially Kazakhstan
  • Fluency in English, Russian and Kazakh languages in order to communicate with clients and review documentation in these languages
