Our London-based client specialises investment property sales and wealth building opportunities in the UK and overseas. Our client has ambitious growth plans and have been going strength to strength. They are looking for an experienced and hardworking business development manager to generate new opportunities with partner agents in the UK and internationally.
This is an exciting position in an environment where you’ll work hard and play hard. With an established name in the property investment world behind you, your job as the business development manager will be to build strong and lasting partnerships with agentsand brokers in the UK, but mainly overseas. You’ll create an enthusiastic and motivated network of partners who will sell your investment products to their own client base. Once you have the partner signed up, you’ll educate and train them so they know how best to sell your products. The company has already had great success in establishing highly effective and profitable partnerships already, so you’ll be joining a team who know what they’re doing and will help guide and train you to add to their ongoing success.
This role requires energy and a positive attitude. You’ll be on the phone or having meetings remotely for most of the day, so this role will be perfect for you if you like being busy.
Key responsibilities include:
• Locating business deals by contacting potential companies; discovering and exploring opportunities
• Proactively initiating and engaging sales calls to new prospects
• Closing new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts
• Maintaining existing strategic customers to solidify mutual expectations of performance and growth
• Developing accurate business reports through research and market analysis
• Working closely with the marketing and sourcing departments to design and execute pre-agreed strategies
• Formulating market analysis and delivering accurate business reports
Key skills include:
- A hunger and motivation for sales and to close deals
- The ability to search for new prospects and plan sales strategies
- A strong interest and knowledge of the investment property market
- Confident and effective presentation skills
You will be a proven sales professional with a track record of hitting targets. Closing, motivating and prospecting for new leads, will come naturally to you. You’ll be resilient and tenacious yet be mindful that many of your prospects and partner agents won’t speak English as their first language. There may be times when you’ll be dealing with stressful situations and you’ll know how to keep your head, stay calm and resolve matters professionally and delicately.
It is essential that you have at least 3 years’ sales experience, preferably within the property sector, however backgrounds in FX and recruitment will be considered too. You must have excellent negotiation skills and be able to work independently as well as in a team. Occasional travel will be an essential element of this exciting position.
