Business Development Manager

Seeking a Regional Business Development Manager, our client is a leading provider of financial education in the workplace for the public sector. It helps employees to understand how to maximise the value of their workplace savings and benefits by delivering financial education. They provide regulated advice on investing tax efficiently and general money management, to help individuals reach their financial goals for retirement or indeed generate income at the point of retirement.

The Regional Business Development Manager will work in conjunction with an experienced administration and business development team to develop and manage existing and new public sector clients, including servicing and general queries. They will be responsible for preparing and implementing an annual marketing plan to successfully secure new business and manage the delivery of financial education within the public sector, including key account development and service call schedules.

In addition they will Identify and prioritise target markets using appropriate/agreed demographic metrics, identify prospects within the selected target markets based on robust research methodology, make initial approach to prospects identified and secure initial introduction meeting and prepare tenders for new contracts in conjunction with the Line Manager and Head of New Business

Essential skills and experience include (Only applicants with the below will be considered and need apply)

Previous experience of working with public sector organisations

Some form of regulated FS qualification i.e. FPC or above

Highly motivated and driven individual who is able to demonstrate use of own initiative whilst being able to identify when to consult with and seek advice from others

Ability to identify new opportunities based on research but also on an opportunistic basis

Disciplined approach to implementing marketing plan required

Ability to carry out extensive research using various research methods

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (face to face, telephone and email, as appropriate) with the ability to network effectively

Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work to meet deadlines

Comfortable with methodical process driven approach and maintaining documented workflow log
