We are currently representing an exciting SME based in Northampton, who are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join their growing business.
As Business Development Manager, you would spearhead a newly created brand within the group and be be part of a dynamic wider team who are all focused on both personal success and the growth and development of the business. This brand operates within the automotive/finance sector so experience in either of these fields both would be ideal, but if you have business development experience within insurance, FS or high net worth accounts, I would be interested in having a conversation with you
You must have a demonstrable background of successfully developing new business and display a professional yet tenacious, driven personality.

Job Scope: To approach key potential clients in the automotive sector to develop new business, then build working relationships to leverage further opportunities and referrals. The role will comprise both cold, new business calls and some on-going account management, and will necessitate national travel.
This is an entirely new division, and our client is looking for people who can demonstrate the tenacity and drive to propel their new brand to market-leading status. As the business progresses, you would be instrumental in it’s growth, building a team and (if desired) taking on further responsibility.
•Outbound new business calls to potential customers
•Face to face meetings with potential prospects
•Understanding customers’ businesses and potential requirements
•Be able to calculate terms with customers accurately and confidently
•Maintain and develop relationships over time
•Participate in marketing strategy meetings
•Representing the company at trade events/exhibitions
•Meeting and exceeding targets
Experience and personal attributes required:
•Excellent sales and negotiations skills
•Solid numeracy and literacy
•Clear communications skills
•Strong commercial acumen
•Ability to manage your own time effectively
