A rapidly developing commercial insurance business seeks a high calibre Business Development Manager to manage and develop a territory in the North of England.

The business has a strong offering and impressive facilities with a number of A-rated capacity providers. It has ambitious growth targets across its current product range, with exciting plans to launch innovative new products in the near future.
In this home-based role, you will be allocated a panel of provincial brokers located throughout the North of England. You will conduct regular broker visits, presenting to both new and existing clients, using your effective business development and relationship management skills to proactively grow your account. In addition, you will also use the underwriting team at Head Office to ensure an efficient service delivery, whilst acting as the main referral point for the company. To aid your broker development strategy, you will benefit from a number of USP’s, which includes the ability to offer brokers exclusive access to your products within set geographical regions to help separate them from the competition.
My client is seeking someone who is ambitious, resilient and professional, who wants a long-term career working for one of the most entrepreneurial MGAs in the market. Essentially, it is looking for someone with a successful track record within sales and business development in a broker facing role. You must feel comfortable working from home, and possess the required levels of self-motivation, discipline and drive to make this role a success. Established relationships with a panel of brokers throughout the North would certainly add weight to your application, as would progress made towards the ACII qualification.
