Role: Business Development Manager (Water)

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 + Car + Benefits + Uncapped commission

Location: Chichester

Do you have either Business Development experience or Sales Management Experience? If so, we are looking for a National Business Development Manager to work for a large water management company. The National Business Development Manager will work closely with the sales and development team. Supporting new commercial opportunities and closing deals with large Blue-Chip customers. Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the UK-wide sales plan, with focus on meeting monthly/quarterly sales performance targets
  • Identify and develop new leads to build the sales pipeline
  • Plan and manage new sales opportunities ensuring conversion to contract closure
  • Compile and send proposals to customers
  • Identify upselling opportunities
  • Carry out competitor analysis, making suggestions for product and service development
  • Identify and propose sales and marketing support requirements
  • Develop a thorough understanding to promote the sustainable water concept and tailor services to provide solutions to customers to meet their requirements
  • Negotiate and obtain agreement on favourable pricing and commercial terms
  • Work with colleagues to assess/validate data findings to ensure customer solutions presented are appropriate
  • Attend team meetings, report on activities, share ideas and problem solve

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven successful B2B sales experience, preferably in a consultative role dealing with Senior Managers and Directors of large organisations
  • Previous experience in a service-based sales environment
  • The ability to influence decision makers across finance, procurement and ideally utilities departments within large corporate, blue chip organisations
  • Proficient in using MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Sound technical and practical skills
