The client has been manufacturing innovative cladding systems for the last 35 years; they are mineral composites which can be sold based on both the aesthetics but also their fire ratings which are A2 rated.
This is an international business with excellent market share on the continent, the UK is the next area they are looking to develop and as such are expanding their team. The UK's t/o with one person bringing in business is £4m. Worldwide they exceed €140m.
As Business Development Manager for the North you will be responsible for representing the brand externally, liaising with architects and presenting the clients cutting edge technologies as the cladding brand of choice.
You will also be responsible for being the companies' bridge to the building owners in the North, you will engage and target these in order to develop specifications, but by taking control of the value chain and selling on aesthetics, this will make them very hard to break.
You are the front end driving factor of the business in this role, once you have secured the business it is then your role to make sure that the business comes in, dealing with technical queries and ensuring that consultatively the correct solution has been suggested.
You will have experience of specification sales and technical problem solving gained within the finishing products industry (cladding, roofing, rooflights, flooring, renders, solid surfaces, tiles etc.). Cladding expertise will be particularly useful as this is the core product range of the company.
You must be capable of both generating new accounts and maintaining existing client and contractor relationships. Targeting architects and doing CPD's is a big part of this role, alongside bringing in orders it is also about increasing the perception of the brand.
The territory is from the midlands to the Scottish borders, as long as you are based in this geography you will be considered.
You would be goal oriented and self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary: £40,000 to £55,000
