We require a commercially aware Business Development Manager who will bring their negotiation skills to a role in Newcastle and support the development of the company’s North East Marine Strategy in order to achieve their overall aims within the Marine Sector.
Focusing on Ship Repair, conversion, mobilisation, demobilisation as well as identifying any other appropriate developments within the marine sector, you will support the Commercial Director and MD and ensure marine related bids are fully resourced as well as monitoring and reporting on their progress.
You will produce and support a pipeline of opportunities to align with the company’s financial objectives and develop sector specific campaign plans.
The role requires someone who can identify opportunities, cultivate and establish relationships with key Marine Companies, officials and other industry stakeholders alongside developing a matrix based list of these relationships, maintaining the records of all meetings within that database. You will possess a high level of interpersonal skills combined with strong management reporting experience.
