Business Development Manager - Role Overview:

  • Develop business opportunities within the account base across a defined vertical territory
  • Ensure your pipeline of deals is strong enough to achieve quarter revenue targets
  • Accounts could be cross vertical but likely to be service providers or financial institutions
  • To develop and manage direct relationships with and close business within defined accounts (new and existing)
  • To target and secure new customers (and revenue streams) within defined account base
  • To develop penetration of named large corporate clients by selling strategically at all levels within those organisations
  • To establish and manage the sales process through to sales closure
  • Effective management of pipeline and forecasting of deals
  • 70% Business Development / 30% Channel indirect sales

Business Development Manager - Required Skills / Experience:

  • The ability to be creative / adaptable coupled with well-developed business acumen
  • A keen desire to achieve in a competitive environment coupled with high levels of drive and motivation
  • Ideally you will have a good understanding / experience within Network Security
  • A proven track record of success in selling complex IT deals / enterprise level contacts
  • Aptitude, competence and credibility to lead and manage other senior personnel in a virtual team
  • Be able to competently and confidently discuss and articulate key business and technology factors affecting major corporations
  • Proven successful sales track record in a difficult market climate selling high value / high complexity solutions
  • Exposure to and experience within security sector
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
