Business Development Manager (Freight)

An International Logistics Company are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing team in the north of the UK. This position will assist in increasing the company portfolio, building on their current business and developing their branch in the North of the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing key accounts and re-introducing dormant accounts to new services
  • Bringing on board new business and selling all company services
  • Visit clients on a regular basis across the UK
  • Understanding customer requirements and tailoring business opportunities
  • Liaising with other offices across the UK
  • Work with internal teams to convert business opportunities
  • Build up the North UK branch, assisting with business and team development
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and continue good working relationships

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Business Development role, selling freight services
  • An understanding of the shipping and Logistics Industry
  • The ability to convert sales and build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive and eager to succeed
