An exciting and challenging Business Development Manager (BDM) role has arisen within this international freight forwarding business. With a remit to expand sales this is an external role covering a defined territory with uncapped commission and hence superb earning potential.
This BDM position is an extremely high profile role within the business and offers all the support to ensure success. Based out of the Liverpool office you will be reporting to the Branch Manager and have the backing of a strong, well established Inside Sales Team.
The main purpose of this role is to proactively develop sea freight sales in line with set kpi's turning target, potential clients into customers within the designated territory.
You will have the autonomy to develop your local sales strategy to achieve the set targets and be accustomed to presenting to Clients. You will also be involved in completing tenders, quoting for business and completing necessary reports all in line with company operating procedures.
To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to display superb communication skills, be an effective negotiator, have great listening skills and be goal driven. With an energy and determination to achieve a professional attitude is a must.
We are looking for candidates with a proven sales track record in the Freight Forwarding, Shipping or Logistics industry with strong sales skills and a driving licence.
