My client was established in Birmingham in March 2013 initially to operate European & Irish road freight services The emphasis is on providing the absolute highest level of customer service with a very positive "can do" attitude.
This non asset freight forwarding business is logistically supported by three receiving and consolidation terminals operated by domestic transport companies and is now opening a fourth depot in December 2018 in the London area.
They are looking for a hungry and passionate Business Development Manager to work out of the newest depot developing existing and new client base and establishing more European services. They currently offer their own services to Ireland, Scandinavia, Italy and France and want to expand further into Europe.
Being a high tempo dynamic business with grand ambitions you will be joining a very passionate, dedicated and demanding team.
* Experience of internal or external sales in the core road freight markets is essential. Having some operations experience would be seen as an advantage.
* The ability to price up and calculate your own quotes is essential however full support and back up will be given.
* Although they have many sales leads you will be someone who thoroughly enjoys and excels in the canvassing of new clients and in generating your own sales leads & opportunities.
* You will be expected to book your own sales appointments and manage your diary effectively
