The focus of this role is to generate profitable new client business for the Courier and Parcels offering. Responsible for generating and managing strong pipeline through all stages of the sales cycle: prospecting, qualification and presenting and closing.

Description

Business Development Manager Covering West Midlands

  • Create an approved Territory Plan of activities to develop the pipeline and business to a size sufficient to exceed targets
  • Identify new business development opportunities, gained through own network, cold calling, referrals, research and telemarketing, and convert them in to leads.
  • Increase revenue by converting prospects into new clients
  • Attend meetings made by the business telemarketing resources as appropriate
  • Ensure that the CRM is kept up to date with accurate and timely information.
  • Complete reports on sales activity as required.

Profile

Business Development Manager Covering West Midlands

  • Proven new business sales experience in the logistics sector (ideally same day service environment).
  • Ambitious new business 'hunter' with drive, resilience and a determination to succeed
  • Highly autonomous with a positive "can do" attitude.
  • Bright and articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Sharp commercial acumen.
  • Experience of building a pipeline and converting quality business from scratch.
  • Be fully flexible on travel - with a full driving licence.

Job Offer

£35,000 - 40,000 + Commission + Car + benefits
