Business Development Manager – Construction Industry
£25-30k base, Realistic OTE £40k 1st year, uncapped
Our client, a specialist provider of goods to the construction industry, is looking for a business development manager to concentrate on new business acquisition, re-contacting lapsed clients and looking after an existing bank of active accounts. They are looking for a sales person who has the ability to be fairly self-managed, understands how to manage a pipeline and who can manage their own activity to a large extent in order to hit target.
The role would suit someone who:
- Has experience selling construction products
- Has experience selling to architects, building surveyors and property group managers
- Has ability to perform a full sales role, from initial prospecting and lead generation to client meetings, presentation and closing
Their success is borne out of establishing relationships and getting repeat business, therefore strong account management skills will be required and that will become a more important part of the role the longer you are with them. First year OTE of £40k is both realistic and uncapped with scope for that to increase in years 2 and onwards.
