Business Development Manager- Birmingham (Mandarin and English speaking)

Three60 Recruitment have been instructed by a reputable organisation in Birmingham; who seek a talented and driven BDM to join their successful team.

Our client is the Midland's leading public sector consultancy, with a large focus on the Chinese market. Offering consultancy services of anything from relocation, academic searches, counselling, training, career coaching, legal aid and immigration; our client now requires an experienced sales professional to further maximise business potential.

You will work closely with a team of intelligent, hard-working consultants, and help to drive performance forward through personal a team development strategies and leading specifically by example.

You will hit the ground running.. literally! You will be out of the office setting up meetings, attending expo's, organising and attending relevant events to network, and push the organisation's name in the market.

This role will be very front facing, rather than social platform led, so the ideal candidate will have experience of presenting and pitching to clients and business prospects face to face. You will also be research and detail heavy, and have no qualms in picking up the phone to gather the information you need in order to cement potential meetings and business conversations.

Your target market will be companies and educational institutions with regard to study and graduate/ student employment; as well as getting the company name out their to further entice referrals into the Chinese market.


  • Design and implement a sales strategy, with focus on expanding the customer base
  • Working closely with senior management and marketing team
  • Recruitment, onboarding and coaching of sales team
  • Setting objectves and targets, conducting performance analysis and maintaining standards
  • Creating sales, revenue and expenses reports, and presenting along with forecasts to management
  • Maintaining an excellent market knowledge of emerging changes, shifts and competitors

Due to the nature of the company and role, it will be hugely beneficial if applicants can speak both English and Mandarin fluently, although it is only necessary to speak fluent English.
