Are you looking to work for an innovative engineering solutions business in Dorset that deliver distinct and highly specialised quality products and services in the design, manufacture and support of naval defence equipment?
Based from the office in Dorset you will spend 2-3 days a week out on the road developing business both across the UK and also internationally with existing clients and also sourcing new opportunities.
As an experienced business development manager from the naval defence sector you will have strong ability to sell technical solutions to the MOD and distributors. In particular you will know the naval defence market and have a proven ability to generate sales opportunities leading to firm orders, preferably in the military / security markets within the UK and internationally.
Specific knowledge of naval defence sales across the UK and internationally is essential alongside the ability to grow relationships and source new business across the region.
The role will include significant national and overseas travel to attend exhibitions, visit customers and agents, carry out demonstrations and to ensure any customer issues are solved quickly and effectively.
Awareness of contractual and commercial terms and conditions and knowledge of MOD and export procedures are preferred along with the sales characteristics, account management skills and the desire to work as art of a successful and growing international business.
