Location: Durham

Salary: £30,000 - £40000 + uncapped commission

About the Role

We're looking for a Business Development Executive to drive growth in our commercial waste solutions division. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and closing deals in a fast-moving, sustainability-focused industry

What You'll Be Doing

• Generating new business across SMEs, multi-site operators, and large commercial clients
• Consultative selling of waste-management services including general waste, recycling, food waste, and bespoke solutions
• Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing
• Building long-term client relationships to maximise retention and upsell opportunities
• Working closely with operations to ensure seamless service delivery
• Tracking performance through CRM tools and reporting on KPIs

What We're Looking For

• Proven B2B sales experience - waste industry experience is a bonus but not essential
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• A self-starter mentality with the drive to exceed targets
• Ability to understand client needs and translate them into tailored solutions
• Comfort working in the field and managing your own pipeline
• A passion for sustainability and helping businesses reduce their environmental impact
