A leading technology business based just outside of York is looking for a
Business Development Executive to work with one of their major business partners. The role would ideally suit someone who has worked in a Customer Support role for a minimum of 12 months who is looking to progress into a Customer / Business Development role.


Purpose Of Job:


To generate revenue growth from new and existing partner relationships with a major mobile network, through proactive sales activity.

To generate revenue growth from allocated new and existing customers through proactive telephone sales activity.

To provide all accounts with exceptional customer service ensuring all internal and external service level agreements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management
• Develop through effective and regular telephone contact, revenue from existing Partner and customer accounts.
• Gain a good understanding of customer’s business in order to identify solutions from the customer’s portfolio.
• Ensure that existing customers are kept fully informed of the full portfolio of services where appropriate.
• Identify potential new services, products and routes to market and feedback to line manager.
• To make courtesy calls to ensure customer retention and a high level of customer service.
• Maintain a high level of competitor awareness in all regions of operation and report findings back to line manager.
• To ensure that the company is obtaining the best terms possible but maintaining the competitive edge at all times.

New Business
• From existing databases of lapsed customers or new lists provided by marketing carry out canvassing activity through calls and emails.
• Follow up mail shots and other activities by tele-canvassing and arrange sales visits as appropriate.
• Identify new products, services and routes to market to increase revenue and feedback to line manager.
• Develop regular contact with new customers developing rapport and further business opportunities.
• To be aware and develop commercial opportunities for the business at all times.

Partner Management
• Develop strong relationships with key contacts within Partner accounts and allocated clients.
• To support field team on Partner Roadshows, Training Presentations & Visits as required by line manager.
• Provide reporting and management information as requested.
• Ensure all KPIs and service levels are exceeded against contractual agreements.
• Work with internal and external departments to develop new services and improve existing services for Partner accounts.
• Working with the Business Development Manager, ensure that all Partners and customers are managed profitably and successfully to ensure contracts are renewed.

Quotes and Sales Administration
• To ensure that all business is negotiated on the best possible commercial terms.
• To produce customers quotes and supporting documentation for customers within agreed timescales and following Marketing guidelines.
• To follow up all customer quotes, answer queries regarding the quote and convert to sales. Ensure each opportunity is maximised and up selling.
• To complete the administration sales processes including updating the customer data base and use of Hireman sales in-house system.

Quality
• To ensure that all procedures are adhered to.
