Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Part-time and full-time positions considered)
Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 (depending on experience) + bonus

A leading company in the education sector is looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to join their team. This exciting role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with schools and on large-scale projects, turning leads into long-term partnerships. The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth within the education and project sectors. You will be responsible for reviewing new business opportunities, using industry-leading ABI project systems to identify and assess upcoming projects. You’ll also liaise with subcontractors and architects to gather detailed project requirements, ensuring accurate quotes are provided and sales opportunities are maximised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with schools and project stakeholders to uncover and nurture business opportunities.
  • Utilise ABI project systems to track and review leads, focusing on upcoming projects in the educational space.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and architects to fully understand project specifications, providing the information needed to develop precise and competitive quotes.
  • Use a consultative approach to gather detailed client information, identifying their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Foster strong client relationships, ensuring excellent communication throughout the sales process.
  • Convert Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and SQLs into secured orders.
Requirements

Skills & Attributes

  • Exceptional communication skills: A confident, professional phone manner and the ability to communicate clearly with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in all client interactions, lead tracking, and project quoting.
  • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively to achieve targets.
  • Highly motivated, with a track record of meeting or exceeding business development goals.

Requirements

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Previous experience in business development or a customer-facing role is highly desirable, particularly within the education or construction project sectors.
  • Familiarity with ABI project systems and experience engaging with subcontractors or architects will be advantageous.
  • An understanding of sales processes and lead qualification is important.
