My client is a very successful further education provider. The continued growth has resulted in additional head count being added.
The main focus of the Business Development Consultant is to develop the commercial activity within the college. Income generation is a key driver and this role will be essential in bringing the required skills to the college that will enable the growth required by the Directorate.
You will be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employers within relevant sectors for purposes of income generation.
A key part of the role will be identifying skills and training needs within specific businesses aligned with our specialist sectors.
To act as the key point of contact and account manager for your designated client base operating with a focussed professional approach to grow existing accounts.
To prospect for and qualify new opportunities via a range of channels, including direct calls, business events and social media platforms.
Working with the Business Development Manager, Learning & Development Manager and Research and Planning Manager to source and pitch for new business opportunities with employers, demonstrating knowledge of the College’s entire offering.
To enter, track and be familiar with all leads and sales activity via the CRM system, including follow up activity for sales proposals/ visits.
To attend and actively promote College services at business networking events and relevant conferences and follow up with leads as necessary.
To be responsible for regular reporting on business activity in line with the sales processes in place.
