Business Development Co-Ordinator (Banking) – Job Overview

In this role you will be responsible for providing complex administrative support to the Commercial Director and Business Development Director.  You will be the middle point of contact between the credit and underwriting function and the customer themselves, ensuring that customer relationships are managed effectively and new applications and completed in a timely manner.

Duties will include;

  • Managing internal and external relationships – Directors, supplier and customers
  • Maintaining relationships that support new business growth
  • Proactively managing the pipeline of new business
  • Working as a team to achieve key financial measures and goals
  • Proactively looking for new business and promotion opportunities
  • Ensuring a personalised customer experience is maintained at all times
  • Compiling or reviewing full credit applications in line with policies and procedures and working closely with credit underwriters
  • Ensuring full compliance is achieved, including the adherence to all regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring existing and potential customers are kept up to date on the progress of their ongoing transactions and acting proactively in all business matters

Business Development Co-Ordinator (Banking – Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience of providing administrative support within a commercial banking environment
  • Experience of credit and relationship banking with a solid working knowledge of credit processes and risk assessment
  • Customer centric with experience in direct customer contact
  • Self-starter, with a flexible but robust approach, good team player, commercial, business focused and pragmatic, able to work independently essential
  • Good organisational and negotiation skills

Business Development Co-Ordinator (Banking - Benefits Offered

  • Salary: £30,000-35,000 (depending on experience)
  • 26 days’ holiday + bank holidays
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.00
  • Company pensions (10% employer contribution)
  • Access to funded company insurance policies
