Are you looking for a rewarding, varied research and support role, with a global support services company?
We are looking for an outstanding Bid Support person to join an international specialist freight forwarding company, which provides innovative logistics solutions to clients worldwide. They specialise in providing support in dangerous and difficult to reach locations.
You will support the Business Development Executive to improve our client’s win rate. You will identify new business opportunities, carry out research tasks, contact new potential clients and report on the progress of leads and opportunities. Your work will, as well as contributing to income generation, also raise our client’s media profile and brand awareness globally.
You will be joining an experienced, dynamic, supportive (and social!) and growing team of 14 people, based in London. This will be a highly autonomous role - following a 6 month period working alongside a manager, you will then take ownership of your own client and contract workload.
You will provide an essential bid support function, comprising the following key elements:
- Bid development (PQQ preparation, data collection, writing and editing of bid documents)
- New business (identify new opportunities via market research)
- Social media (managing social media accounts, prepare and post content, report of social media initiatives)
- Digital strategy/website (produce website activity and traffic reports)
- Internal communications (produce monthly news bulletin, liaise with international offices)
- Marketing (support events schedule and marketing materials and initiatives)
To be successful in this role, you will have similar experience in a bid or research-focussed role, gained in a commercial environment (rather than within the public or charitable sectors). You will be an autonomous worker, able to work on a number of projects and tasks simultaneously, with excellent writing and research skills. Experience gained within the shipping airline or international logistics industries would be highly advantageous.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.

We aim to make a decision on applications within 3 working days, however during busy periods this may take a little longer.
