A talented Business Development Adviser is needed to join the Africa team on an 12 month FTC within a magic circle law firm in the heart of London. With 2,500 lawyers working in over 40 offices in Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and the United States, their scale and capability positions them amongst the global elite of law firms.
The Business Development Adviser will be responsible to develop and implement structured and planned approaches across the full range of business development activities arising out of the practice areas including: business development planning, budgeting, targeting and cross-selling, client relationship management, reputation management, pitching, client/sector analysis, evaluation and reporting.
- You will have strong previous experience of working in a business development focused role in a legal or similar professional services firm. Prior knowledge of competition, employment and/or pensions would be advantageous.
- You will have excellent understanding of marketing and business development processes with an ability to influence and adapt quickly to different situations and personalities.
- You will be educated to degree level and be highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter with a can-do attitude.
- Some line management experience is desirable and a general understanding of the legal market (in terms of key players and product areas) to aid familiarity with terminology and to add as much value as possible when talking to partners.
