Our client, the UK's largest water and Wastewater Company is currently seeking a Business Continuity Contractor; working for on a temporary basis to start immediately.
In this role, you will apply your knowledge and experience to complex technical and strategic problems. Forming part of their wider Business Reliance & Security team, you will provide advice, solutions and support to teams to enable them to meet their business goals.
This temporary role is based in Reading, with a pro rata'd salary of up to £40k depending on skills and experience.
What will this role involve?
Development of business continuity strategy and program delivery.
Provision and delivery of risk assessment / business impact analysis tools.
Provision and development of business continuity databases.
Management of 3rd party contracts and disaster recovery test programme.
Provision and delivery of business continuity / event management training programmes.
Report and procedure writing.
Resilience exercise development and delivery.
Ad-hoc support to events (Operational & Non-Operational) as required.
Liaison with and influencing of key internal stakeholders, and facilitation of business continuity and resilience activities across the utility organisation.
External networking and benchmarking with external business continuity professionals.
Evaluation of business continuity capability within 3rd party supplier organisations.
What skills are we looking for?
To be successful in the role you will have similar experience as a Business Continuity practitioner; preferably, holding Business Continuity qualification and affiliation to Business Continuity professional organisations.
You will have the ability to liaise, network and influence at all levels in the company as well as your external network.
Excellent report / procedure writing skills, and thus a high standard of verbal & written communication skills. You will have good working knowledge of business procedures and structures and a good standard of IT systems knowledge.
