Business & Community Fundraising Officer
Acorns Children's Hospice is 30 years young this year. A charity full of energy and vitality with a big future ahead. Charity People is over the moon to be heading up the search party for a talented and enthusiastic Business and Community Fundraising Officer to bring their loudest, proudest fundraising voice and help spread the word about Acorns inspiring work across Birmingham and South Warwickshire. Could you help them to make every day count?
Our Business and Community Fundraising Officer will work across their designated patch engaging and developing relationships with Acorns supporters.
Building meaningful relationships with people doing their own fundraising in aid of Acorns, local businesses, and groups and organisations, you will support them in raising as much money as possible through Charity of the Year partnerships, employee fundraising, payroll giving, sponsorship and events.
What are we looking for from a proud Acorns fundraiser?
* Proven success in a fundraising, sales or customer focussed role
* Demonstrable experience of smashing KPIs and targets
* Brilliant track record of building and nurturing relationships with supporters or customers
* Exceptional communications skills and the ability to deliver compelling pitches and presentations
* Natural people-person with negotiating and networking skills
* Team player who can demonstrate real passion and zest for the charity's work
This role will be home-based with travel around the patch and to the hospice at Selly Oak, as well as regular contact with the Fundraising Team at Head Office in Wythall where there will be a friendly welcome from a lively, bubbly team, flexible working and plenty of opportunity for personal growth and development.
