Business and Planning Manager - HR

A large global organisation are seeking a Business and Planning Manager reporting into the Global HR Director and working closely with the Senior Leadership team.

HR and the wider organisation is undergoing a significant level of change and the Business & Planning Manager will ensure that the HR function has the appropriate insight, controls and procedures to deliver all the organisations changes within the function.

Your duties will include:

Financial Management & Planning

Investment & Discretionary Spend such as ensuring business cases seeking to draw down investment funds are fit for purpose and any requests for funding through the agreed HR governance

Vendor and Supply Management - Manage the coordination of external spend by evaluating HR suppliers for quality, pricing and delivery. Oversee commercial compliance and ensure all opportunities to save costs are delivered and work with the category manager to ensure alignment between HR and Procurement and coach Managers in HR around the management of 3rd party supplier contractual relationships

Risk Management and Compliance - Review corporate risk management protocols to determine whether the protect the interests of the organisation, co-ordinate requirements for the HR department surrounding risks, ensure the HR risk register is updated, work with risk and audit and be the point of contact for freedom of information requests, parliamentary questions and the National Audit Office

Customer and Stakeholders - Develop and maintains excellent relationships with internal and external customers across a range of service/products

To be considered for this role you will have significant experience in the following areas:

Have had managed your own budgets , have an understanding of a balance sheet and what financial terminology means and be able to communicate financial budgets, forecasts and risks to non-finance people

Have experience of including the financial impact of the business on decision making

Have experience of developing business cases

Have worked in a complex/matrix large organisation (ideally international or global)

Have used the typical methodologies in risk management and decision making

Have project management or Operational/Resource Management experience

HR experience would be highly benefical
