Business Analyst - Consumer

This role will involve defining requirements for all changes requested within the Consumer Division of Shawbrook. Changes will range from a variety of sizes, so you’ll need to analyse these to advise the appropriate management method. You’ll be expected to challenge stakeholders to validate details and the benefit towards business objectives. A passion to deliver changes through to completion by using internal and external relationships that you’ve developed. It is essential to maintain the integrity of the change management process within Consumer by continually governing changes across Consumer and allocating to the most effective workstream.

Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:

  • Define the business problem and primary objectives of new work streams
  • Perform investigational analysis and evaluation to determine project or application feasibility
  • Identify and validate the key business requirements
  • Plan a flow of requirements to deliver changes
  • Assist business users and change manager in optimising the scope, benefits and risks of proposed work streams; help manage expectations of users and management
  • Create functional and non-functional requirements in line with the appropriate work stream documentation framework
  • Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives / stakeholders that requirements and process models accurately portray specific business needs
  • Report all issues of regulatory concern to the CRO, Compliance and Legal Departments
  • Analyse and challenge change requests and associated business benefits
  • Analyse complex data and processes
  • Conduct impact assessment to predict business result of changes on people, processes, systems and reporting

  • Leading a project group to a solution
  • Analysis of complex requests
  • Requirements gathering and definition
  • Process solution design
  • Experience of working in a FCA governed company
  • Knowledge of financial IT systems and processes
  • Working with third parties
  • Adapting different change tools to the environment
  • Managing several different initiatives in parallel
  • Computer literate (good knowledge of MS Office suite - Excel, Word, Power-Point)
  • Knowledge of Conduct Rules
  • Excellent understanding of change management processes, definitions and best practice
